Kimmy Mazza is a project manager at NREL. She is currently the project manager for the Bioenergy Technologies Office CO2 Reduction and Upgrading for e-Fuels (CO2RUe) Consortium, which includes 10 projects from five national laboratories. The mission of CO2RUe is to develop technologies to upgrade carbon dioxide to fuels and chemicals to displace greenhouse gas emissions as well as land and water use while accelerating the decarbonization of our economy. Kimmy began her career in the global development sector supporting community-led projects focused on health, economic development, education, and environmental conservation. Her experience with community development allows her to manage projects with a community-centered lens, while her background in engineering lends itself to understanding and managing the technical aspects of projects.
