Nathan joined NREL’s Residential Buildings Research Group in 2019 and develops energy modeling for buildings. He works to make the models as useful and practical for the real world as possible.

Prior to NREL, Nathan’s career included energy software development, commercial and residential building analysis, and optimizing operation in the built environment. He can often be found trying to get just a little more air on his snowboard, mountain bike, or sailboat.
