Know an influential U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon® alum or faculty advisor who has impacted the clean energy economy? Nominate them for the Solar Decathlon Richard King Award by Feb. 1, 2023!

Awardees will be selected based on their contributions to the transition to a clean energy economy and demonstrated dedication to at least one edition of the Solar Decathlon.

The winners in each category—Faculty Advisor and Alum—will be recognized during the Solar Decathlon Competition event, April 20–23, 2023, at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado (virtual participation options also available).

To nominate a colleague, please submit the electronic nomination form by 5 p.m. EST on Feb. 1, 2023.

The Richard King Award was created in 2017 when it was first presented to honor the competition’s founder, Richard King, at the Solar Decathlon hosted in Denver, Colorado. To learn about the 2022 award winners and the competition overall, visit the Solar Decathlon website.
