Matt Ringer: The industry sector contributes about a third of our carbon emissions the way it operates right now.

So, one of the big goals of onsite renewables is: How do I reduce the carbon emissions from industry? Obviously, renewables reduce carbon. OK? Huge potential impact there.

We have to understand how you can plug onsite renewable or renewable generation writ large into facilities so that the process, it melds well. Right? How do we make this all work?

The systems integration challenges of bringing a noncontinuous renewable source to a continuous facility are big. And that is some of the stuff we’re trying to look at here.
