South Florida East Coast Corridor Transit Analysis Study
The 2006 Transit Analysis Study focused on bus routes parallel to the South Florida East Coast Corridor in southern Florida.
Transit Agency
GF Consulting Engineers conducted the survey for Palm Transit, Broward County Transit, and Miami-Dade Transit.
Survey Methodology
Conducted in English in January–February 2006, the survey was distributed to passengers on Palm Transit, Broward County Transit, and Miami-Dade Transit bus routes parallel to the South Florida East Coast Corridor. The survey included questions about their origin and destination, what transportation mode they used to get from their origin point to the boarding point and to their final destination from the alighting point, how long it took them to get to and from the boarding and alighting points, how many buses they took for their trip, and the bus route numbers. Additionally, the survey posed demographic questions about vehicle availability, the number of vehicles in their household, and their age, gender, ethnicity, household income, and disability status.
