Survey Methodology

The paper-based, interview-style survey was conducted in English and Spanish onboard express bus routes in May 2010. Participants provided information about their origin and destination, trip purpose, travel modes to and from the express bus stop, and fare type as well as demographic data such as household income, vehicle access, race, and age. The survey also included questions about rider satisfaction with the frequency of bus service, wait times, seating and parking availability, and hours of service.
