Meet the New Solar Community Partners of Innovation at SCALE

Meet the new Innovation at SCALE (Solar Community Assistance for Local Equity) provider partners and discover how they are advancing distributed-scale solar deployment both locally and nationally.

NREL announces six new partners joining the Innovation at SCALE program, each partner bringing their deployment expertise, unique experience, and regional focus to support community-focused assistance. Building on the success of Solar Energy Innovation Network projects, NREL and partner organizations are bringing benefits of distributed solar electric energy to a wider array of communities across the United States. New Innovation at SCALE Partners

ReThink Energy Florida is dedicated to educating, engaging, and empowering Floridians to take action for a just transition to clean energy.

Regional Emphasis: Florida

Expertise: Community engagement, residential solar, energy burden reduction, energy efficiency, equity and environmental justice, grassroots organizing, and disaster resilience

Converge Strategies is a consulting company focused on clean energy, resilience, and national security.

Regional Emphasis: Nationwide

Expertise: Resilience assessments and exercises, project development and facilitation, policy and programmatic design, as well as partnerships and networking building

Center for Sustainable Energy is a national nonprofit that accelerates adoption of clean transportation and distributed energy through effective and equitable program design and administration

Regional Emphasis: Nationwide

Expertise: Design and administration of state and utility incentive programs for clean technologies including distributed energy resource (solar and battery storage), building electrification, electric vehicle (EV) and EV charging, program evaluation and analytics, community engagement, marketing and policy analysis

The Great Plains Institute collaborates with governments, businesses, and communities to create sustainable energy solutions

Regional Emphasis: Nationwide

Expertise: Solar and battery storage, electric grid expertise, community-level renewable energy policies, residential and small business solar, and facilitation and team building

The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy promotes responsible and equitable energy choices to foster clean, safe, and healthy communities across the Southeast

Regional Emphasis: Southeast United States

Expertise: Residential solar, distributed solar policy, utility stakeholder engagement, and energy efficiency

Utah Clean Energy is advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency through effective collaboration with local governments, businesses, and communities in Utah.

Regional Emphasis: Utah

Expertise: Commercial-scale and residential solar, solar for small businesses, clean energy policy and solar paired with battery storage
