Security Procedures

Building security will accept Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 badges (recognizable by gold chip on front) or tenant business identification badges with a 901 D Street decal. NREL badges will not work. If you do not have an approved badge, you are considered a visitor. Visitors should email their name, date of arrival, and date of departure to Niyona Ingram to obtain a security fob that allows access to the elevators and the NREL suite. Without the fob, access cannot be granted, as the elevators and suite are locked at all times.

Building security will be notified that you are expected; otherwise you will be delayed while security calls for authorization and/or escort. Visitors must show government-issued photo identification (for example, driver's license, passport, or military ID). Visitors must pass through a magnetometer and have their personal items X-rayed.

Foreign National Visitors

NREL Security requires advance paperwork and approval for foreign nationals prior to their visit.

Please email Niyona Ingram for additional information.
