2025 PV Circularity Workshop Agenda
Learn about topics of discussion and activities at NREL’s 2025 PV Circularity Workshop, to be held March 20–21, 2025.
A full workshop agenda is forthcoming.
Topics for Discussion
We are building an agenda focused on data and dialogue over:
- Renewable energy sustainability in perspective
- Definitions, metrics, and pathways to sustainability
- Goals and challenges for renewables
- Current status of CE practices and policies
- Industrial symbiosis and supply chain synergies
- Renewables powering social and energy justice
- Sustainability and resiliency
- Actionable sustainability for stakeholders
- Establishing a sustainability ecosystem for manufacturing
- Specific field circularity and sustainability experiences.
A circular economy for the PV industry is critical to PV supply security, advanced manufacturing, responsible development practices that consider the entire lifecycle, domestic recycling-based resource recovery, and secondary market opportunities for the solar industries and industries across the energy transition.
The workshop will also include tutorials on the first day and a tour of NREL’s campus on the last day.
